Crafting the Lachlan network

The Crafting the Lachlan network is a free support and information network of arts and crafts groups from the wider Lachlan Valley area.

The networking group was set up by Arts OutWest and Lachlan Arts Council to give people from arts and crafts groups in the Forbes, Parkes and Lachlan shires a chance to meet face to face and share skills, ideas and issues.

So many people are working hard, voluntarily, in their own communities to run workshops, weekly classes or exhibitions. The distances between towns can seem very large and isolating at times, but because people share similar interests and have similar issues the chance to meet and talk helps make it easier.

The informal network of people aims to meet regularly, with the support of Arts OutWest, to share information, build relationships and help each other out.
