Description: The private home of Rex Morgan AM, MBE and the Morgan family. The historic mansion was built in the 1870s by pastoralist James Hosne Stewart, son of Bathurst pioneer Maj Gen William Stewart. The house is a magnificent example of Tudor Gothic/Scottish baronial architecture attributed to Calvert Vaux and George Mansfield. The house and grounds are open to the public for informative guided tours (see 'What's On'). The house contains the lifetime collections of Rex Morgan and the Morgan family. Description: All Saints' Cathedral is located in the heart of Bathurst City. The Cathedral is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Bathurst and the 'principal church' of the Diocese. The Cathedral houses a number of significant cultural and historical items and is the venue for many fine musical events. The first church was built on this site in 1848 to a design by Edmund Blacket, and it became a cathedral in 1870 when the Diocese of Bathurst was formed. Because of serious structural problems with the original building, in 1911 it was decided to construct a 'new', cathedral. The first phase of this new building was completed in 1927 and is now the 'old' section (including the Warriors Chapel), on the east end of the current building. In the mid 1960's it was decided to construct a new cathedral to a modern design. This building was completed in 1971 and it is one of the few modern cathedrals in Australia. The Cathedral Parish is an open and inclusive Christian community of faith. There are activities for all age groups, involving people from a diversity of backgrounds and experiences.

Description: The choir is made up of mainly men and women from mutlicultural backgrounds. A few of it's members are also from the mainstream community. The choir aims to give it's members an opportunity to share their culture with each other through the songs of the countries from where they came. Description: We are a high-achieving women’s chorus. We sing acapella 4 part harmonies and focus on continued musical education for members. Our performances include songs from barbershop, jazz, pop and other genres, some featuring choregraphed movement. We rehearse in Bathurst with members from Cowra, Orange and Canowindra. We perform around the Central West and compete in local and national competitions. In 2007 we were the first Australian chorus to compete in Sweet Adelines International Harmony Classic in the USA. Description: Long before the dinosaurs the mighty rivers of the Central West teemed with bizarre ancient fishes - fish with armour shells, fish with lungs, and huge predators with jaws like crocodiles. Thousands of their fossils were found at Canowindra and give us a unique glimpse into life during the Devonian Peiod - 'The Age of Fishes'. The museum displays many of these beautiful fossils together with live aquarium displays and wonderful recreations of life in the Devoian. The museum is open 7 days from 10am to 4pm. One in the centre of town next to the Museum and the other on the eastern approach.
