Call For People To Attend Lithgow Media & Grant Writing Workshop
People
who would like practical advice on how to
access the media and funding for future events are invited to take part in a Media
and Grant Writing Workshop in Lithgow on Monday December 11, 5pm – 8.30pm.
This
hands-on workshop to be held in the Lithgow Library Learning
Centre meeting room will give people useful tips on planning an event, finding a news angle and how to write an effective
Media Release. It will also offer guidance and tips on how to write a successful grant application.
The
media side of the workshop will be facilitated by Arts OutWest
communications officer Natalie Kent who has a Bachelor of
Communications in Journalism from University of Technology, Sydney and was a journalist at the Daily Liberal in Dubbo.
Arts
OutWest executive officer Hannah Semler will be providing information on grant and
resources available for arts and cultural activities and how to plan and write
grant applications
So
if you’re a member of an arts or community organisation, a volunteer, a school teacher, or a young mover and shaker who would
like to raise the profile of your next event and develop new audiences by
becoming more media savvy.
