Call For People To Attend Forbes Media & Promotions Workshop

 

 

People who would like practical advice planning promotions and attracting media attention for an event are invited to take part in a Media and Promotions Workshop in Forbes on Wednesday November 15, 5.30pm-9pm.

 

This hands-on workshop at the Forbes Youth and Community Centre will give people useful tips on planning an event, finding a news angle and how to write an effective Media Release.

 

The workshop will be facilitated by Arts OutWest communications officer Natalie Kent who has a Bachelor of Communications in Journalism from University of Technology, Sydney and was a journalist at the Daily Liberal in Dubbo. Arts OutWest executive officer Hannah Semler will also be attending the workshop to provide advice on event planning.

 

So if you’re a member of an arts or community organisation, a volunteer, a school teacher, or a young mover and shaker who would like to raise the profile of your next event and develop new audiences by becoming more media savvy call Arts OutWest on 6338 4657 before Monday November 13 to enrol.
